KJ

His name is Khemdat Jainarain, but listen to anyone seeing him bolt around, and all you hear is "KJ!!!". And you'll have to yell pretty loud for him to hear you, because at the rate of speed KJ's running, chances are he might outrun your sounds as he blazes on by!!

KJ started his phenomenal running career on the grass...the grass of a soccer field that is. Since the age of 6, his taskmaster coaches would have him run 1 mile. A word to you parents out there...You can never start your kids too young! By the age of 9, KJ was already running cross country and did more of that in his high school in South America as well. Despite taking some years off of running for good behavior, he then came to the US and joined the Forest Park Runners team (by accident, lol) in '98.

His first race was of all things, a Half Marathon (Brooklyn)! Since then, KJ has amazed and turned heads. This year for instance, he entered the 40-44 category, and proceeded to continue his assault on the asphalt, posting top 3 in his age group 3 times (so far)...and those were just the NYRR races!

KJ is a runner's runner. An athlete that's addicted to the core, KJ just can't function without running!
