Tom has been a long-time runner, and while there's no proof to the notion that he named his son, Forrest, after the fictitious and prodigious runner of the same name (Forrest Gump), one need not second-guess his love of the sport.

Having been a member for over a decade, Tom has earned as many accolades off the field as well as on. He was given top honor of Member of the Year two years in a row (2009 & 2010), not only for his wonderful work as our team's treasurer, but mainly for his spirit to help out wherever, whenever possible.

But let's not forget about his running prowess either. Having been a member of Forest Park Runners for over half its existence, Tom continues to maintain a blistering well-balanced assault on races of all speeds. His Bronx Half-Marathon performance on July 9th, 2006, with a time of 1:36:58, is still one of the best times for a half among all active members.
